The warnings concerned five areas: Śląskie, Małopolskie, Podkarpackie (3rd level of threat), Świętokrzyskie and Lubelskie (2nd level of threats). The water level can stay above the alarm level for a long time. The situation may worsen the rainfall forecasted for the entire south-eastern Poland. Given the recent weeks in which we were dealing with drought, the current weather is a surprise.
It took just a dozen rainy days to pour out the rivers and thousands of hectares of crops under water. Farmers mention that in flooded areas this year they will not plant anything.
