Prices of onions from China are growing all the time, but the increase is not as big as before. The high prices were caused by bad weather conditions in Europe (especially in the Netherlands). This reduced the production volume and imported onions from China. The demand for imports, however, is slowly decreasing because in some European countries the season of onions is taking off. This year, the sowing rate is reduced by 40%, but from one hectare, 10% more yields are obtained.
